Our organization has accomplished much in its young life. However, we feel there is much yet to accomplish within our industry. We have developed our three tiered credential but to really bring it to life, we must have a strong, committed organization that can support it. Therefore we would like to announce a new focus for the year 2010. 

We have reevaluated our goals and narrowed them down to three vital ambitions which we hope to achieve this year. AND WE NEED YOUR PARTICIPATION! 

These goals are 

• To raise the overall quality of nanny care. 
  
• To raise the public's awareness of the nanny as a childcare professional. 
  
• To create and maintain an inclusive, responsive organization whose strong organizational foundation and ongoing leadership development ensures the longevity and success of the organization. 

You will note that the credential is not mentioned in these goals. We are not abandoning our mission with the credential. Rather we are working to place a foundation within our organization so that the credential can survive, flourish and reach its full potential. We must move forwarded purposefully in order to really succeed.

In order to move forward we will be doing 3 important things... 

1. We will be launching a search for a select group of members who would like to be a part of our "brain trust" and leadership of the association. These individuals will spearhead big ideas and help oversee accountability for the work we do. If you are interested in being a part of this group please let us know. 2. We are publishing this list of goals along with a list of actionable tasks. These tasks range from simple jobs that may take only an hour on a one time basis to larger jobs that may be a six month or more commitment. We will be looking for volunteers to take on and be accountable for these tasks. Take a look at the list and let us know how you would like to help. 

3. We are moving forward with a new and revamped version of our Nannypalooza conference. It is a revolutionary way to approach a nanny training event and we are so excited. Look at our informational brochure here. 

We are beyond excited and hope that each and every one of our members will find a way to help us move forward in 2010!
