Nannypalooza 09
The National Association for Nanny Care is now accepting proposals for Nannypalooza 09. Nannypalooza is a 2 day professional conference for nannies and nanny-related businesses. There are networking opportunities and exhibitors in addition to the educational sessions. NANC is a non-profit, educational organization dedicated to promoting excellence in nanny care. We are an umbrella organization that welcomes all those that share our mission.

A little about our conference
Nannypalooza was created to offer high quality training to nannies and nanny-related businesses at an affordable price. Nannies care for all age groups of children from newborn to teenagers. Working in home environments, nannies often have little or no direct supervision. This makes it crucial that nannies are well trained in all aspects of child care. There are not many avenues open for affordable training for our community. Nanny agencies and other businesses also attend our conference. Their concerns are the same as many other small businesses with an additional focus on recruitment, screening and matching of nannies and families. Our conference offers 15 - 17 seventy-five minute workshops with 3 workshops offered per time slot. The conference has a relaxed but professional atmosphere. We are seeking dynamic, engaging presenters with relevant, up-to-date information to share with our attendees. NANC encourages a “learn it today, use it tomorrow” approach with an emphasis on hands-on presentations.
We offer workshops in the following categories:
health, safety and nutrition (e.g. special needs kids, nutrition ideas)
child development (e.g. ages and stages, language development)
learning environment (e.g. arts and crafts, using music with children)
guidance and discipline (e.g. difficult children, behavior issues)
working with parents (e.g. diversity issues, contract development )
professional development (e.g. portfolio development, interviewing, financial planning for nannies)
business issues (e.g. marketing, using the internet, recruiting)
Nannypalooza attendees come from a wide variety of backgrounds and include nannies who have very little experience as well as nannies who have been in the business for many years. Please make sure to let us know what experience level you can best target with your presentation.
